No Quit in Me: A Yukon Mountain Caribou Dream at 77

When she got the call on April 27 letting her know she’d won the Wild Sheep Society of BC raffle for a Yukon Mountain Caribou hunt with Rogue River Outfitters, she wondered if she could really do it. At 77 years old, with two knee replacements, a hip replacement, and having beaten cancer, most people would have stayed home.
Instead, she picked up a borrowed 7mm PRC, headed north with her husband, and lived out a true trip of a lifetime—flying into snow-capped mountains, glassing dozens of caribou, and finally taking a great bull alongside a fellow raffle winner from Kentucky. The best part? Even without an animal on the ground, the friendships, campfire stories, and wild country would have made the trip worth it.
This entire experience started with a raffle ticket.
That’s exactly what our Wild Sheep Raffles are about—creating once-in-a-lifetime opportunities while funding critical conservation work for BC’s wild sheep and wildlife.
Every ticket supports conservation—and just might be your ticket to the next story like this.
