The Wild Sheep Society of British Columbia (WSSBC) is proud to announce a $30,000 contribution from Hudbay Minerals Inc, Copper Mountain Mine to support its Psoroptes treatment trial — a critical initiative aimed at understanding and managing the spread of Psoroptes Cuniculi, a parasitic mite threatening wild sheep in British Columbia. First found in British Columbia in the region west of Penticton, where an outbreak was first detected in 2011, it has been found in the Similkameen Valley of southern British Columbia.
