Pavilion Drop Net Volunteer Sign-up
As part of the Fraser River Test and Remove project, in conjunction with the Provincial Government, we are planning a drop net capture on January 10th, 2026, in the Pavilion area.
We are looking for able-bodied volunteers who can be ready to travel independently to the meeting point, located between Lillooet and Cache Creek (Pavilion). Capture date is tentatively set for Saturday, January 10th, 2026, with Sunday the 11th as a backup date. The meeting time will be around 8 AM.
Please note that their is significant demand to attend this capture as a volunteer. Priorities will be First nation communities and Wild Sheep Society of BC members and opportunity will be given by order of application.

Note: The Wild Sheep Society of BC is not liable for any costs incurred relating to any volunteer travel. The Wild Sheep Society of BC assumes no liability for any volunteer attending. Each person is doing so at their own risk.
Requirements
The minimum age requirement will be 12 years of age. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must be capable of handling a wild sheep, which may include lifting and moving a wild sheep, and be able to kneel on the ground for extended periods of time.
Please complete the form below. We will contact those who have been selected by email to confirm their acceptance as a volunteer. Preference will be given to First Nations Community Members and Members of the Wild Sheep Society of BC. Volunteers are asked not to share the meeting place location with anyone else.

*All access to private property on behalf of the W.S.S.B.C for wild sheep conservation is only permitted on the dates of the volunteer work.
