Introduction to Mountain Horses & Horse Packing
Women Shaping Conservation, in partnership with Custom Pack Rigging, invites you to join us for a hands-on day learning about mountain horses, horse packing, and life with horses in the backcountry.
This event is designed for women who are curious about working with horses in the mountains, packing gear, and understanding the role horses play in the backcountry.
Participants will learn the basics of:

Horse packing fundamentals and equipment

Life with your horse in the mountains

Practical demonstrations and hands-on learning
Horses will be at the farm, giving participants the opportunity to spend time around them and gain a
better understanding of working with horses in a mountain environment.
Whether you’re new to horses or simply interested in expanding your outdoor knowledge, this will be an
educational, inspiring and FUN day – something for everyone!

Time: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Fort Langley, BC
Cost: $35 per person
Participants: 8–12 women
Lunch: Included
Age: Participants under 18 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Spaces are limited to keep the experience small and interactive.
